Boston Hip Abduction Brace
The Hip Abduction brace is for treating children from infants to 3 years of age with hip dysplasia.
It holds hips in the correct abduction position, but flexible enough to allow walking.
Can be used full time or for night wear only.
To Measure:
To determine proper sizing, lie the patient supine and measure the pelvic circumference. Next, measure the distance between the backs of both calves. This should be done while the patient is sitting in the "frog" position. If the patient falls between sizes, use the larger size and trim the length of the thigh section. This will increase the life of the brace.
