Korthotics is seeking an orthotist who will be seeing a wide range of patient’s conditions varying from orthopaedic, neurological, genetic and traumatic.

Korthotics manufactures contemporary and 3D printed orthoses to various patients, servicing both children and adults.

The successful applicant will be required to attend to privately referred patients, inpatients at several teaching hospitals and in local health districts (including public and private out-patient clinics).

The applicant will also need to undertake a hands-on approach to the fabrication, manufacture and modelling for 3D printed and contemporary orthoses.

The position is full-time, 38 hours per week, and will provide exposure to multidisciplinary clinical settings and liaison with allied health and medical professionals.

There will be opportunities to undertake in-service lectures, research on current and future Korthotics projects and attending National and International conferences.

The applicants for this position will be required to demonstrate:

  • Good oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work both in a team and individually;
  • Ability to communicate with patients and health professionals on clinical outcomes;
  • Organisational skills required for patient appointments and reviews; and
  • A desire for continuing professional development.

CAD Skills for modelling for 3D printing orthoses will be taught to the successful applicant.

A tertiary degree or equivalent in Orthotics/Prosthetics is required for this position.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo training on Electronic Medical Records (EMR) via NSW Health at Local Area Health Districts and provide evidence of up-to-date vaccinations (as required by NSW Health), Working With Children clearances, Police check and current Driver’s licence.
